Climate Ready® Engineering Control Systems

Climate Ready® Engineering Control Systems consist collectively of motor controllers, other hardware and software packages that will operate all facade element/s for eg. shading systems, ventilation systems and other motorised systems which require precise operation control (preset stops in angle degree or mm).

Climate Ready® Engineering Control Systems are installed hardwired, EB2 N & EB2 D, or WiFi, EZ1 N & EZ1 D or a combination of both.

Climate Ready® Engineering Control Systems manage internal light and glare by responding actively to varying environmental conditions via signals or inputs from devices such as sun and wind sensors, switches, remotes, audio visual integration or a combination of all five. The systems are compatible with Horiso Solar Shading Systems and other manufacturers. Overall, Climate Ready® Engineering Control Systems maximise indoor environmental quality and reduce energy consumption; creating comfortable, productive and sustainable built environments.

Hardwired EB - Motor Control Systems

The EB Hardwired Motor Control Systems are designed specifically for the operation of motorised shading systems. In addition to controlling motors, each controller is capable of accepting six dry contact inputs. A basic software is package provides safety soft limits (prevents damage to a blind if motor limits fail). Precise shade adjustment in angle degree or mm for facade uniformity, preset stops, programmable parameters and basic scheduling. Optional Control Point modules allow for the addition of sensors and audio visual integration. The hardwired EB systems can operate as a stand-alone 
or networked using BACnet MS/TP.

WiFi EZ - Motor Control Systems

A EZ WiFi Motor Control System is capable of accepting twelve dry contact inputs, utilising a DC1 - Digital Port Expansion Unit. A basic software package provides safety soft limits (prevents damage to a blind if motor limits fail). Precise shade adjustment in angle degree or mm for facade uniformity, preset stops, programmable parameters and basic scheduling. Optional Control Point modules allow for the addition of sensors and audio visual integration.

Programmable layers include:

  • The capability for each shading device to evaluate how its performance contributes to a specific lighting condition
  • Solar path calculus and scheduling capabilities for time of day, week and/or year
  • Glare and heat gain control
  • View displays the entire floor plan of the system, including sensor performance and the status of each shading device
  • Provides access to system logs, lockout/overrides and alarms
  • Monitoring and configuration from within a standard web browser
  • Gives an individual user point-and-click control of shades in their individual area
  • Supports scene control, scheduling and tweaks
  • Predetermined parameters allowing customised functionality for each building system.
